Friday Favorite: Cross Gene - La Di Da Di

Friday Favorite: Cross Gene - La Di Da Di

We have a new rookie group hot off the shelves and this week we'll be looking at their debut song 'La Di Da Di'. Follow us into the world of meditation...~

First off, we think that their name is quite decent. It's not just a bunch of English words put together to sound cool, it actually describes an aspect of the group for once. They are a group that will “cross the superior genes of each country to create one perfect group.” [uhhh.....there are over 190 countries y'know] The group has six members from Korea,China and Japan ( *yay* able to fan-girl all at once. Our universe is imploding.)

Just for you guys we have stalked collected a lil' info on all members:

We love their concept on the pictures however...what happened with their nick names? It's like Teen Top with their code names....just doesn't work sometimes presh gene hahaha None the less, it is quite interesting don't you think?

CROSS GENE's debut song was quite impressive. The beat was consistent throughout the song to make it more addictive and catchy.
Their first MV is quite organised and straight-forward; no story-line to focus on or an hour long introduction *coughEXOcough*. The mv is very artsy and visually pleasing to look at, especially with all the members modelling in their own space to show off their individual charms. Individuality is one of the most important things while establishing a new group....we need to able to tell each one of them apart (plus name learning and making a bias list gets easier).

The dance in this debut mv seems to have caused quite a debate amongst kpop fans. Their sitting down dance at the beginning is very unique. Obviously, this is not the actual dance or it would be quite awkward sitting and singing in MCountdown. It's a simple choreography that everyone and anyone can do. We think that they have another dance choreography which they do show us glimpses of.

Compared to other groups the dance moves don't look as complicated or hard to do, they seem to have kept their actions to a minimal. We don't think their choreography is bad but it should've been better to suit the song's beat but that still doesn't mean that they cannot dance Yes...we're aiming this at you....trolls.
Does anyone know where I can buy Shin bear? *rawrr*
If this is not dancing....what is? They can bust some great moves.
We call this the meditating dance version~ obvious reasons why.
One thing we do want to say is that...... those pants are sexy. Cross Gene dancing in tight leather pants. We don't know what's going through your mind but we can guess *heheheheh*
Cannot stretch any further

Also, the sets they have are very unique and not to mention artistically pretty. Usually with Kpop songs, we see sets being reused or reorganized. We have umbrella like lights, a bamboo set with a load of microphones, folding speakers room and a.....pink carpeted room. It's quite nice to see fresh new sets with this rookie group and the stylists have done very well to match their outfits with the set instead of making them put on clothes that may stand out but doesn't match the set behind. Well done. Looking sexy and beautiful.

Unfortunately, we don't have a lot to talk about in this MV as there are no story-lines and we're not very familiar with their characteristics. All we know is that they look amazing and the mixture of Asians could go very well if they do it right. We'll have to wait and see their dance moves through their live shows. (It would be quite amusing to see them sing and dance while sitting down)

For their next MV we hope to see a more intricate and complicated dance moves because we are sure they have got talent. Other than that, they've entered our 'to stalk love boy group' list.

Enjoy their meditation dance below:.
