First quarter of debuts and comebacks : 2012

The first 3 months of 2012 has been hectic with hot debuts and a rush of comebacks. Even we couldn't keep track of them so we decided to give them to you in the most organised way (we think!). The debuts mostly consisted of male idol groups and were followed by comebacks of other artists. But let's not forget the non-idol groups and solo artists who also debuted last month.

Here are the ones that caught our eyes the most.... *literally*

Male idol group debuts
B.A.P : January 26  [Best. Absolute. Perfect]

These guys came out with their out-of-this-world video "Warrior" and it blew our minds! They had such a strong and fierce image that it was hard to believe they're just rookies. On top of that rookies that are only around 15-18 - making a lot of us "peedo-noonas" [Yes, I'm talking to you *points at mirror*] ...except for Yong Guk...he's an exception. To all BABY's out there, as the commander once said: "B...A.P! Yes Sir!"

Nu'est : March 15  [New. Established. Style. And. Tempo]

"Face" is the name of Nu'est's main debut song. It fuses Electro  [an unfamiliar territory for us] and Dubstep [o.o] together to form this unique song; one which actually has a very important message behind it! It has a very catchy tune and has a lot of English in it [Rejoice internationals!!] We have hit "jackpot" here... *see what we did there*

BtoB : March 22  [Born. To. Beat]

This seven member group shows us a lot of potential through their song "Insane". It has great upbeat melody and gets you singing their catchy lyrics instantly. Although the song is about "pain", we can't help but sing it with a huge grin! [Blame their looks that make you go "Insane"] We cannot wait for their new songs and performances.
They were definitely born to beat (others....maybe).~

Comebacks

Shinhwa - The longest running South Korean boy group has returned with "Venus" to commemorate 14 years of being together and as a thank-you to their loyal fans. It has a great chorus and the boys look great running through the woods.

Big Bang - They have come with an explosion this time round as well with six title tracks "Blue", [wow] "Fantastic Baby", "Bad Boy", "Love Dust", "Ain't no fun" and "Wings". They only have three MVs out so far along with "YG on Air" which shows all six. This five member group have really given it all for this comeback and have changed their entire looks...(maybe not so much for Seungri but that piercing looks painful!)

Shinee - In this mini album they become detectives and return with the title song named "Sherlock". Anyone know their detective agency number?

CN Blue - They are back with a catchy title track "Hey You" in their third mini album 'Ear Fun'. This song will make you want to get up and do a little happy tap-dance.

B1A4 - This group has returned with an album 'Ignition' containing an impressive title track "Baby I'm Sorry", composed and written by leader Jin Young.  Although the English may not be perfect [Jinyoung, we're here for you anytime. Call us: 0100 - English - helpline], this song is definitely on of our favorites and we see a huge change in the image of the group itself.

2AM - The ballad boys are back and they are back with a...ballad "I wonder if you hurt like me" which contains a lot of great graphics and stills [if you were to press pause every two seconds and admire it] It has a great story line and let's not forget their voices which is a masterpiece itself.

LED Apple - This rock band have made a comeback with an upbeat song "Time Is Up". They deserve more recognition!! Their sounds are unique and they combine both dance and band. LEDA's unite!! We must let their sound resonate throughout all Kpop fans! However we weren't very impressed with their latest video "Sadness". Although the song is great, the video does it no justification...[We do thank the cameraman+director for showing us the  boys nearly half naked though; Hanbyul looks next to perfect while waking up] Anyways, we hope that they get a budget rise in their next video.

Non-idol/solo debuts

Ailee: Feb 9

She has debuted with "Heaven" after winning MBC's Chuseok special episode of 'Singer and Trainee' last year. Her voice is amazing and so unexpected! Definitely a star in the making.

John Park: Feb 23

After being the runner up in a korean talent show 'Superstar K2', he has debuted with the song "Falling". The video for this is magical and so is John Park. His high notes send a chill down your back and his smooth jazz-like voice sends you to heaven! If you liked Ailee, you'll love John Park.
