Friday Favorite: JJ Project - Bounce

Friday Favorite : JJ Project - Bounce

For this week's Friday Favorite, we are going to be reviewing JJ Project's new debut song "Bounce". We just love these two from head to toe. Just look at this wacky duo and be amazed at what you've been missing out on.. Impossible not to shake it along with them. (commence extreme shaking)

First off, let's start off by tackling the most discussed subject about this song. It starts up in a school where they're bored to death and look like they have had their souls sucked out of them...hold up *shows STOP sign*.  There is something funky in the air. This video reminds us a whole load of Bang Yong Guk and Zelo right? There have been a lot of trolls respectable fans that have been bashing this duo for their re-make of 'Never Give Up'.
We do agree that it does have a Bang Yong Guk and Zelo feel to the video however who says there can't be two rebellious schools running at the same time *shakes fists threateningly*. So both duos are rebellious and decide to relieve their feelings through songs.

Now, let us start with the important things. *points* Is that..is that...a jiggy jiggy....JYP we hear in the beginning? Heh~ not so out of normal for our God-like JYP who seems to do everything by himself. No, but seriously that jiggy jiggy dance will make you absolutely go:

It is impossible to submit to their extreme cuteness and to the whole beat of the song as well. *shudders* Just indescribable. If you haven't watched that yet shame on you, here are teasers for it. Be prepared to shake it and skake it for me.

Hmm that's a very informative poster they have there *thousands of tissues stuck up our noses*
You would be lying to yourself if you say that you have not tried to do this dance in private or in public. You shall look absolutely fine doing it, so go ahead and try it out in public. We strongly encourage you to do so and because we're so elegant freaking awesome(!) we've come up with what we would look like trying to do this move....wait for it....
The excitement just takes over....
Shake it *pants* shake....it!!!!!!
I am shaking it for YOUUUUUUUUUU
We're not being completely critical here but come on! Who did the editing? We could just go up to them and *shakes both fists*. If you've been watching this video like hardcore zombies (not saying that we have *coughit'salie*). You would have picked out that near 0:23 in the MV, the cameraman slowly slides into the party...with his camera. It's like your uncle crashing your party with a Pinata that he thinks it's the game of the century....it's just not something you want. Let's just hope JYP picks up on this and gives the editing team some prep talk because we know we would *sonofagrumblegrumble*
Slowly...slowly....I am an incognito cameraman.....
But other than that there isn't really anything else to complain about unless you really want to talk about the excessive use of all colours....Oh yes~ have you seen their crew?? It's like the mixture of all stereotype delinquents that we could possibly think all in one room. Plus everyone looks A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.
They also have their back-up dancers who hold light-sabers torches and perform a mind blowing dance routine. It is not exactly the best dance moves that you have seen from other groups such as 2PM or Infinite however it is a force to be reckoned with. (it seems that most groups now want to have the most innovative dance~ Live on innovation!)

That is literally the whole school + a few backup dancers.
This is one heck of a school! You cannot deny that going to such a school would just be the best! Where you're allowed to wear literally anything and where a dance breakout seems to be normal. They have such great talented basketball players and the school on a whole looks like a huge playground for the likes of delinquent, bad-ass kids really. They also have a guerrilla concert out of nowhere and everybody seems to be enjoying it! If we were ever faced with such situations where we could wear what we want and do what we want, I'm sure we'll get a lot of weird looks.

Where do we sign up?

The MV is a work of art really without looking at the small details. We mean, it has great English throughout (in all posters and lyrics). It's very colourful and the song actually makes you want to shake something....anything! Also the editing of the whole MV seems to be very different from other videos. It's like organised chaos where the video moves up and down and literally shakes without giving us a head migraine or making us dizzy.
The extras also actually look like they want to be in the MV. They must have been shattered by the end of the of the shoot, having shaken everything everywhere. They're all so entusiastic without being creepy which is sometimes hard to pull off *coughHeyYouextrascough*.
Job well done!

Overall the song has a great electronic heavy, hip-hop, dubstep, rock feel to it (making ourselves dizzy here). It seems that bands just want to appeal to all genres when really they don't. For instance we had EXO with their little genre mixup where they, out of nowhere, started to sing in heavy rock.~ We only judge them on their hottness talent on one particular area. The mixture of everything for this particular song really works which we're very happy for. It could have been a complete disaster but thankfully it wasn't.

The whole thing ends up with a little dance sequence made up by the duo (no BYG&Z reference). They have the dorkiest dance compared to how they do things at the beginning of the video. If you cannot love this, you cannot love at all!, you have your own opinions we understand *death stares*
We could give you the breakdown on the dance but we prefer that you watch it for yourself.
Let's just say~
So. Much. Sexy.

Check our their MV right here that includes everything:

Song : 4/5
Dance : 3.5/5  [5/5 for the shaking though. . .]
MV : 3.8/5
