Friday Favorite : Teen Top - To You

Friday Favorite : Teen Top - To You

Our first Friday Favorite for this month will be on Teen Top's comeback song 'To You' from their latest mini-album. The boys are back with a fresh new catchy song that'll make you want to abuse the replay button over and over and over again *ahem* Anyways, moving on. . .

The MV for this title track was released on May 30th and gosh do we have a lot to say.
This song is possibly one of the most catchiest from Teen Top out there. It has all the elements that makes a great MV: the sound, the voice, the looks, the dance and especially the boys men.

Trying to make sense of the video did rack our brains, however, we have come up with a conclusion. Teen Top are dancing aliens that have accidentally landed on Earth and are secretly temporarily staying with the girl while their ship gets repaired; their ship being their dancing floor. How else can you explain Niel not knowing how to use a bathtub?
Doing it all wrong...you're supposed to take you clothes off first..
We see the guys being torn apart by not knowing how to do things like picking up a phone calls and where a sofa should really go (Hint: not on the roof). They seek help from the girl plenty of times however all they're given is a cold shoulder (silly, she doesn't know you exist). Not knowing what to do anymore, they do the only thing that they know best....dancing. They dance at every corner and street that they can find, even on a rooftop with a chair. Finally they can't take it anymore and start fighting over who should come up with a better plan.
There's something on your face hyung.
The light bulb explodes. Finally after a lot of debate and looking around abandoned places like the fair ground, rooftop and underground car parks, they decide that Earth is not the place for them and decide to leave without saying a word. The only thing that they leave behind is the ring and the girl has no idea how it ended up there...dun dun dun. She probably sold it in the next scene seeing how bad her apartment is. Seriously, her place has a door on the wrong side, a few broken windows, a stair that leads to nowhere and a mannequin. No wonder she's always outside.

Hopefully, this will pay for her bills.
We shall start off with the song which has one of the best lines seen in Kpop industry. The 'hooooooooooo' to being with at the start is just genius because not only does it send a chill down your spine but it also sets a finger-tapping tone which we think is just appropriate for this song. Along with this, we have great English chucked in...we even checked out the half wet letter that Niel holds and..it makes perfect sense! So.So.Proud.

Holy crap. Hyung! I wrote it in English!

Another thing that we want to personally point out is that this Teen Top song really is different from their previous works because now we see a more equally distributed singing time whereas in the past it may just have been *coughNielcough*-time. We think that this creates a more group-like atmosphere and is a factor that makes them more lovable. It's a great thing as well can see all the members in all their glory and boy are we loving it (!) Never change this Teen Top! Never.

Teen Top have possibly the most awesome cyber space type of set that we've seen for a while. It has everything. The blocks change colours from yellow to pink to green, they have one of those cool reflective surfaces to dance on (black reflective surface..oh yeah). Then we move onto a more desolate place....an old abandoned fair ground with it's carousel and ferris wheel (plus the blocks seemed to have transported themselves onto the fair ground).
And let's not forget the dances that they perform there. They can bust some cool moves! They kick, jump, slide, spin, rub themselves, do waves and so on. Not to mention, that their dances are so in sync. This group has to be one of the most in sync dancers along with Infinite. We cannot deny that they're great dancers....all of them. Plus they have some unique dance moves such as the shoulder shake which you cannot miss. It's violent and primitive yet strangely attractive.

And who can forget the sudden rub down the body wave. Oh yes~ they've combined everything that makes us fangirls spill blood.....Bloodshed everywhere. But it was so worth it.

Final thing that we want to point out is...her apartment. We cannot stop talking about it. At first we see her strutting her stuff with her amazing clothes and she returns to a place that looks like Voldemort's basement. She has a bed, a chair, a mirror, a mannequin and a sewing machine. It's a creepy apartment to live in but we think that if the landlord first showed us the apartment with all the members in it....we'd probably take it. Forget your basic hygiene when you can share one small bed with all of Teen Top hehehehehehehe. (One of us being a Niel bias...."I'd gladly share the bathtub without the clothes obviously...ahahahaha *gone into hysteria*)
But in all seriousness, we will take that apartment provided that all the members are included in it. Pervy thoughts galore.
And here we have apartment A13....a favorite with many customers....we wonder why...
Overall, we're very very impressed with Teen Top. Their song sounds awesome and they all look great in the MV. We feel that they should keep up with this song time ratio as it lets each member shine and show off their talent. This MV has seriously bumped Teen Top up in our list of boy groups and we anticipate more great work from them.

If you haven't seen their great piece of artwork yet...do so below....now(!):
