Let's start from the beginning.....HOLY MOTHER OF COWS!! This has to be two of the most epic videos in Kpop history! It grips your heart from the beginning till the end and for a debut this is incomprehensible!

So after releasing about 23 teaser videos (which felt like six-bazillion), EXO have finally released their title song in both Korea and China. As you know, the group of 12 are split into two groups; EXO-K & EXO-M (we're in love with both of them and all their members~), who are releasing songs that are exactly the same except they're sung in two different languages (hence the two videos).

We're going to doing a review of them both side by side....because it's easier that way.><

First we have a 1:30min long introduction about EXO and why they're split into two and how parallel they are. We love the introduction and it's graphics (OMG, if only LED Apple got half of their budget...) but it gets a little annoying having to listen to it every time it's on repeat (-.-). We find out that they're part of one great tree (all hail!) and that due to evil forces, they had to split up and live in worlds that are different but alike.

It starts of with the most spine chilling chant that is not only catchy but also looks epic. You see both groups together dressed up as monks in an almost cult like formation. (This is so my type of song). It looks like each member has a counter-part member and they all have different powers...so kind of like super-heroes. We've tried to pair them all up together and this is what we got:

Tao: Delicate Assassin ---> Se Hun: ADD Wind Controller

I kill petals...for breakfast.

oooo~ a butterfly.

Lu Han: Gravity Bender ---> Kai: Transporter

Lu Han: And concentration is key.....
Kai: Nevermind. Just a passerby~

Xui Min: Ice ---> Su Ho: Water

Oh....a water leak

Chen: Lightning ---> D.O: Strength

Hyung(!)....don't worry. I killed the cockroach :D

Lay: Shall Give Life ---> Baek Hyun: Light

Kris: Fire element black dragon ---> Chan Yeol: Fire element white dragon (sounds a lot like Pokemon if you ask me)

What we've noticed is that both group dances the same dance however in different locations which goes along with the theme of being in parallel with each other and they all come together in one place which we think is a brilliant detail. The whole dance is just....fantastic and they all look so awesome!

When Kai does his lip-rub, we cannot help but repeat that particular scene a thousand times. He just looks so suave (all that went through my mind while watching this was KAI KAI KAI KAI KAI akjshfdiuoewhfuwa)

The dance break down is also one of the highlights of this video. It's all so unexpected and we love how it's a mix of both groups rather than all twelve together. Plus it helps that they all dance so well. It looks more organized and thought through.

When Kai + Xiu Min + Kris came up as zombies, we literally jumped out our seats. It looks creepily sexy....The whole death metal sound strangely suits the overall song (the zombies represent how mindless people are, kind of like zombies, if we were to relate it to the lyrics). If Exo-zombies were to ever take over the world...hallelujah! (Personally, we would not mind if Kai or Kris came to bite us. In a way, we're already mindless zombies.)

On a side note: when Kai says "MAMA" in the next chant, I lost all strength in my legs. It was just so soft yet powerful. ( Hats off to you, Kai)

Overall, the whole video relates to the theme of being an EXO and being the same but different at the same time. They've done a great job in fulfilling our sensory pleasures (i.e: sound and especially visual). The graphics are absolutely breath-taking and let's just say other companies may have to take a note out of SM's book. It did take a while for them to debut (freaking four months to be exact) however it was all worth it! The stylists have done a great job on most of the members....

why...why the noose....why?

The lyrics are meaningful and we have captured some great stills from the entire video. Not that we are any qualified photographers but here are some stills we've managed to capture that just take your breath away. And here we give you EXO's hotness; full power.
